Super Strategies for Successful Learning

A one day course on using accelerated learning and critical thinking approaches to improve student achievement, motivation, and the climate for learning.

Target audience: Teachers, Gifted & Talented Co-ordinators, Enterprise Co-ordinators, Heads of Department; in secondary schools and FE colleges.

Course Outcomes

This course will give participants techniques and strategies to use in their teaching with immediate effect.
Participants will learn how to:

Apply effective models of learning in their own teaching.
Effectively set targets during and between lessons.

Course Leader

Matthew Hackett delivers his inspiring classroom activities to more than fifty schools every year, from the UK to mainland Europe, and has even taken his programme for Gifted and Talented pupils as far afield as Hong Kong. One hundred percent of these schools recommend the events. He finds the delivery of in-school pupil events particularly rewarding and is passionate about creating an inspiring environment in which pupils can excel.

Matthew founded Aspire.more able in 2001, in order to provide resources, training and pupil events for Gifted & Talented and Accelerated Learning programmes. As an experienced teacher and GT co-ordinator, he implemented departmental and whole-school initiatives that are now being used nationally and internationally. He is the author/co-author of a number of highly regarded resources and delivers presentations at numerous conferences about the approaches proven to work.
